Why I Think That Naruto Sucks

For my first post of this blog, I'd like to talk about, in my opinion, one of the crappiest anime ever made.
When talking about crappy anime, people may just think of … well, everyone has a different opinion about the most horrible anime ever made, some people may just punch me for not describing Naruto with words such as “awesome” or “spectacular” or even “SUPER FANTASTIC!”
Though many anime lovers get look forward to shows like Naruto every week, if not every day, they are actually looking at one of the text book examples of anime that has gone past their life expectancy.  Like expired milk, they may look good at first, but sooner or later they leave a bad taste in your mouth (and mind)
Let’s start with Naruto.  I know that ninjas are supposedly cool, or “pro”, but in my opinion, a show about a group of people succeed or they'd die is too clichéHow many times did the average viewer see similar plots or general ideas? More than a handful, at least.  Just off the top of my head, I can list Case Closed (Many times he or other recurring characters would be a potential victim), Windtalkers, Saving Private Ryan, and countless cowboy movies.  The kill or be killed idea? Not exactly fresh, with thousands of war movies made.  Throughout the whole series, they battle, old rivals and companions get killed, new enemies and friends are made, more battles, more character shuffling, even more battles, they go to a new place, and battles even more.  Series in one sentence? Some arrogant and naive ninjas find out the world is full of death and reluctantly join the circle of murder.  Some may hate me for saying this, but most, if not all characters are negative influences.  Take Naruto, he never gives up, even during situations that will endanger his comrades.  He never learns from his mistakes, annoys his partners, provides distraction to a team, and many times proves to be a liability instead of an asset.  Don’t forget to check out (or ignore) the inappropriate stuff, like a certain few ninjas’ clothes.  Call me old fashioned (actually, don’t), but last time I checked, some 5 year-olds watch Naruto.  Would you deem this show appropriate for your 5 year-old cousin, nephew, or child? Throw in some trash talk that lasts like 5 minutes each episode and you got yourself one time-wasting show.  It is the same thing after same thing ever since the first 50 or 100 episodes.  It's boring, it's inappropriate, it's got cliché written all over it, etc.  Throw in some overused catchphrases and you got yourself one horrible anime.  In this case, you got Naruto.
